There goes another summer. The big regret last year was not backpacking. Sarah and I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park in early August to make sure we didn't miss out again. My thick head assumed we could drive up and grab a back country site--no problem. In summer, this only happens if the forecast calls for a weekend of rain. Rejected from the park we backtracked towards Denver before coming on this trail head. Luck was on our side because we found a great trail and camp site for my favorite price--$0. Things could not have worked out better.
On the hike, I took a few close up photos of bugs. Check out the large sizes, I can't believe the detail.
