On August 31st Craig and Jen tied the knot in King's Point, NY. Sarah and I traveled out to New York for the festivities and had an amazing time. We went to the Met, ate some good food, and saw the sights.
A trip to New York is always exciting but extra special when two good friends get married.

Backpacking the Lion Gultch
There goes another summer. The big regret last year was not backpacking. Sarah and I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park in early August to make sure we didn't miss out again. My thick head assumed we could drive up and grab a back country site--no problem. In summer, this only happens if the forecast calls for a weekend of rain. Rejected from the park we backtracked towards Denver before coming on this trail head. Luck was on our side because we found a great trail and camp site for my favorite price--$0. Things could not have worked out better.
