The 10th Mountain Division huts have almost everything you need to cook meals and stay warm but you will still need a few things. Here is my list:

telemarks
ski skins
ski poles
telemark boots
jacket
snow pants
goggles
helmet
sunglasses
mitten liners
mittens
hat
down jacket
face mask
long underwear
down booties
thin socks
thick socks
thin windbreaker

avalanche beacon
avalanche probe
shovel
map**
compass
headlight
sleeping bag
pillow case

watch
pillow case
matches
orange adjustable straps (for skins...)
thermometer
stove**
fuel**
water filter**
lantern*
first aid kit**3 extra AAA for beacon

trail mix
oatmeal
titanium spork*
soda*
water bottles (2-3)

sunscreen
shaving kit (glasses, contacts...)
hand sanitizer
book
iPod shuffle*
headphones*
camera*

Ideally, you want to pack as little as possible because you will have to haul it up and down the mountain while balancing on skis or snowshoes. The items followed by two stars (**) should be divided between the group. The items followed by one star (*) are entirely optional.

A 20 degree REI sleeping bag is what I use. If you are concerned with being cold, look into sleeping bag liners which add extra warmth, pack small, and are light. Make sure you are well hydrated before you start and bring an additional 2 - 3 32oz water bottles to keep you going on the hike up.
